CLASSLINK

The Byram Lakes Elementary School maintains a wide and ever expanding range of technology resources for our students and for our instructional efforts including a computer lab and SmartBoard technology. Our computer server holds a computer file for each student and allows students to access a wide range of instructional software. Students can access their file and the district's software programs from any computer in the district or from their home computer using their student ID and password. In order to access and work with the district's software from home, parents can go to www.classlink2000.com/sites/byram . Click on the “My First Time” button to install the plug in necessary to connect to the school's server. Follow the easy steps to access ClassLink. Click on the “Back Again?” button if you have connected to our system before and wish to login to the system. Parents can check their child's computer file or the teacher's shared file to view current assignments. Students can use the software to reinforce academic skills at home. During a ClassLink session, students are working on the school's server and not on their home computer. Your home keyboard is directly connected to the school's computer. You will not be able to print out material from a ClassLink session on your home printer.

Give it a try. Once you download the plug in, your children will know what to do from there. It is a great tool to keep your child's education going even when school is out.

Please note that all ClassLink sessions can be monitored by the principal and the instructional staff. Student IDs and passwords should not be shared. The district's disciplinary code does cover any inappropriate use of the district's computers.
